Non-dug, very nice eagle Cavalry button. Two piece, convex, coat sized button. Face is clean and bright. Back has full shank and is marker marked "D. EVANS & CO. / (star) ATTLEBORO MASS (star)" dm inner ring of slashes. Back is also very clean. Appears to be Albert's CV1; transitional use ca 1860 to post war.
