Item Code: 30-1787

Overall length 19.5”, with blade measuring 13.625” in length, 2.125” at base. Strong, formidable, clipped point blade. Exhibits light gray patina with patches of pitting near the base and tip. Minor dings all along the blade. Heavy brass D-guard hilt assembly is finely crafted with finial & cross-guard. Plus fine brown, wooden handle, with riveted pommel cap. Hilt brass-work displays medium coppery patina, with scratching & minor dings. Four small and worn, indecipherable letters stamped on outer D-guard near blade. Handle exhibits light wear & minor dings.

The knife comes with exceptionally strong leather scabbard, measuring 13.5” in length, 2.375” in width. Scabbard was originally furred, with remnants remaining, with smooth textured patina. Replete with stitched belt loop and large, 4” brass tip. The scabbard has dried, however, and should not be sheathed at the risk of splitting. Makes for a better display alongside such a nakedly formidable blade.

All in all, a stunning piece and one of the better Bowie’s we’ve seen.
